Scrambling and Mountaineering

Scrambling and Mountaineering for me is a natural extension of hill walking. It gives you the ability to venture to steeper and rockier parts of the mountain.

I'm sure you'll be surprised by what kind of terrain is actually accessible, without the need for a full rack of climbing gear.

Intro/Advanced Scrambling

From £250 per person

Designed to give those of you who've done some hill walking, the 2 day course will cover the necessary skills to tackle grade 1 and 2 scrambles. The longer 5 day course introduces extra rope work required for grade 3 scrambles.

We will look at movement skills and route finding, as well as exploring simple ways of protecting yourself and a partner with a rope on some of the best scrambles in the country.

Alpine Preparation

From £250 per person

Alpine climbing can be one of the most rewarding and spectacular experiences.

Preparation is the key to getting the most out of a trip to the Alps, as it is hard to learn in such a demanding environment. Success on any Alpine objective is the result of moving quickly and efficiently, and this will be the focus of this course.

We will also look at important rope skills, such as crevasse rescue and moving together, as well as many other tips and tricks.
